DeepNines Technologies signs Eakins Open Systems (EOS)as A Strategic Reseller

Eakins Open Systems (EOS) adds integrated network intrusion prevention and anti-virus solution to its product offering

DALLAS, TEXAS - DeepNines Technologies and Eakins Open Systems (EOS) today announced they have signed a strategic reseller agreement that enables EOS to resell the Sleuth9(TM) Security System. EOS will leverage its nearly three decades of experience providing technology solutions to customers and the Sleuth9 Security System to arm customers with the solution they need to protect their networks from the increasing number of complex, blended attacks that organizations must combat on a daily basis.

Because these blended cyber attacks are becoming more complex and increasingly malicious, EOS is arming its customers with Sleuth9, an integrated intrusion prevention and anti-virus solution that prevents Denial of Service (DOS), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), Port Scans, Trojan horses, propagating worms and viruses, and other known and unknown cyber attacks.

"Being a leading edge supplier of cost effective computing power and security solutions is a focus of EOS," said Gil Eakins, president at EOS. "Now with Sleuth9, we are able to provide our customers a powerful and proven intrusion prevention and anti-virus solution that sits in front of the router and stop known viruses and worms and mitigate the effects of zero-day attacks."

Sleuth9 is unique in that it operates inline, in front of the router and in stealth mode." It is invisible to hackers and carries no IP or MAC address. Only Sleuth9 uses multi-method protocol and traffic anomaly detection along with proprietary behavior monitoring to block malicious traffic and allow good traffic to pass. Sleuth9 evaluates all network traffic, both ingress and egress, at the packet level, to determine what is valid and what is malicious. By integrating best-of-breed virus protection and intrusion prevention at the edge of the network, DeepNines is the only solution that can detect and stop blended threats at the edge before they enter or exit a network. Sleuth9 keeps Trojans, worms, and viruses out of the network providing an extra layer of protection.

"EOS has 31 years of proven experience in providing customers with quality, consistent services and they recognize how critical it is to provide customers with a hardened layer of perimeter security," said Dan Jackson, president and COO at DeepNines Technologies. "By partnering with DeepNines and deploying Sleuth9, EOS is able to ensure its customers have the protection they need to stop complex, blended attacks at the edge of the network."

DeepNines and EOS are demonstrating the Sleuth9 Security System at the Pacific Coast Sun Partner Summit in Santa Clara, CA from October 6-8, 2003.
