Deepnines announces the Sleuth9 Security System for Red Hat Linux

Company's powerful intrusion prevention solution now runs on multiple platforms including Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.0, Sun Linux 5.0, and Solaris 8.0

DALLAS, TEXAS - DeepNines Technologies, a leading enterprise network security company, today announced the official release of The Sleuth9 Security System for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 9.0. Sleuth9 for Red Hat Linux sits in line, invisibly, in front of the router and stops DoS, DDoS, port scans, Trojan horses, self-propagating attacks, worms and viruses from negatively impacting a network. The Red Hat Linux Version of Sleuth9 is a powerful, yet affordable, perimeter security solution that small to medium sized organizations can deploy to protect their networks.

With the release of Sleuth9 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, DeepNines delivers its powerful intrusion prevention solution on yet another platform. Sleuth9 is now available for Red Hat Linux 9.0, Sun Linux 5.0 and Solaris 8.0 operating systems providing organizations with even more security platform choices.

"Support for Red Hat Linux means we offer companies an even broader range of platforms on which they can deploy Sleuth9," says Dan Jackson, DeepNines' president and COO. "Red Hat Linux is the operating system of choice for many mid-size enterprises. Now these organizations can deploy Sleuth9 as their front line of defense against complex, blended cyber attacks."

The Sleuth9 Security System evaluates all network traffic at the packet level, both ingress and egress, to determine what is valid and what is malicious to prevent known and unknown attacks. The solution can be deployed at the perimeter of the network or in front of other likely targets such as web servers, mail servers, application servers, etc.

Server: Linux; Dual Intel Pentium III 1.4 GHz w/133 MHz FSB; NIC: Three (3) 10/100 Ethernet Interfaces; Memory: 2 GB RAM; Storage: One (1) 36 GB hard drive.

The Minimum System Requirements for Solaris are as follows:
