DeepNines Releases Security Edge Platform Version 4.4

DALLAS (September 12, 2006) - DeepNines Technologies, a network security systems provider, today announced the release of Security Edge Platform (SEP) version 4.4.

This release includes a new base operating system, support for new hardware platforms and a new Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine. These features have resulted in increased performance, better customer support and more through packet inspection than ever before.

The Security Edge Platform (SEP) is DeepNines' flagship offering. It is a unified threat management (UTM) device with integrated firewall, intrusion prevention, anti-virus and traffic management functionality in a single platform. The SEP's patented process inspects takes an in-depth approach to security, inspecting every packet that traverses the network at wire speed and eliminating any unwanted or harmful traffic.
