DeepNines Technologies Names New Vice President of Sales, Randy Schirman

DALLAS, TEXAS - DeepNines Technologies, the only security software company to offer an integrated security platform deployed in front of the router, has announced today Randy A. Schirman has been appointed Vice President of Sales. Mr. Schirman, with 22 years of expertise in sales management and networking, will drive sales efforts for the company, which markets a security platform offering integrated firewall functionality, intrusion prevention, best-in-class gateway anti-virus, and forensic capture and reporting. He will be responsible for the company's overall sales initiatives, driving rapid market penetration by developing new sales opportunities, while coordinating direct and indirect sales strategies into market segments and territory alignment.

Randy Schirman joins DeepNines Technologies after a stellar performance of building NetScreen Technologies', building their Provider Sales organization from inception to $40 million in annual revenues. At NetScreen, he managed one of the most profitable sales organizations, along with a creating large-scale channels and distribution relationships into the Service Provider market. Prior to NetScreen, he was a District Sales Manager at Sycamore Networks, successfully driving sales into tier 1 and emerging carrier service providers. He grew and managed a high performing sales team and expanded Sycamore Networks presence within a multi-state area. His career includes both global and national account sales management positions with Fore Systems and Racal-Datacom, where he achieved his revenue targets by developing strong customer relationships by selling comprehensive security solutions within the airline, energy, federal, state & local government, media/communications, retail, and telecommunications industry sectors. He is a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, with a degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering.
