Paragon systems to resell the Sleuth9 Security System to government agencies

Alliance Provides Government Agencies with Powerful Network Intrusion Prevention Solutions and Services

DALLAS, TEXAS

- Paragon Systems and DeepNines Technologies today announced the signing of a worldwide reseller agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Paragon Systems will market and sell the Sleuth9 Security System, DeepNines' network intrusion prevention solution, to government agencies and vendors. Paragon will leverage its strong market position in the government sector and DeepNines security solution to protect government networks. The DeepNines product line is available on Paragon Systems GSA Schedule Number GS-35F-0187K.

Founded in 1982, Paragon Systems provides organizations with comprehensive security solutions and services. Paragons customers include Army Communications Electronics Command; Army Intelligence and Security Command; Army Information Systems Command; Army Forces Command; Army European Contracting Center; USAF Air Education and Training Command; and the Joint Special Operations Command. From on-site intelligence collection systems support at various military bases worldwide during the Cold War, to the integration of secure tactical systems today, Paragon has a proven track record of success in the government sector.

"By integrating The Sleuth9 Security System into our portfolio of services we can deliver superior security solutions to government agencies," said Gary Newgaard, president at Paragon Systems. "With terrorism and the war, it is more important than ever for government agencies to deploy new, intelligent security solutions that sit in front of the router and can prevent attacks from taking down critical networks."

The Sleuth9 Security System provides customers with a new front line of defense that prevents DoS, DDoS, Port Scans, Trojan horses, propagating worms and viruses, as well as other cyber attacks from negatively impacting a network. The solution is located in front of the router and evaluates all network traffic at the packet level, both ingress and egress, to determine what is valid and what is malicious. Sleuth9 combines signature, protocol, and traffic anomaly detection into an integrated solution and utilizes heuristics and proprietary behavior monitoring to block malicious traffic, while allowing good traffic to pass.

We are extremely pleased to announce that we have joined forces with Paragon Systems, as it has developed long-standing relationships within the government sector and is well known for delivering quality security solutions and services, said Dan Jackson, president and COO at DeepNines, Inc. Paragon Systems further solidifies our strategic initiative of providing government agencies with the critical network intrusion prevention solutions they need today and well into the future.

New Product Launch at RSA DeepNines will launch a new version of The Sleuth9 Security System at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, CA on April 13th, 2003.
